Church Camp 2004!!

helllooo~~! i think someone should make a post about the Church Camp (29 sept - 2 oct)...!! cos it was gooood rite?!?! Here are some points that really touched me and stayed with me:::

do not compromise! === persecution is not the enemy of the church (or the enemy of christians) - compromise is...focus on Jesus. do not allow ADULTERATIONS of the truth...
He loves me despite it all === when Amanda Wells gave her testimony (of going to heaven, seeing Jesus) i was REALLLYY touched. it just reminds us that...yeah!...he's REALLY UP THERE (in case we ever forgot ^_*) and he loves us soooooo much. in light of Jesus, and in light of ETERNITY --- the things of the world just don't seem as important anymore (!).
having passion === urgency of time brings about passion. if we knew the world was going to end in 24 hours,, wouldn't we be going around telling all the people we knew about Jesus? live your life in light of Jesus - and the fact that he really IS THE ONLY way...^_^
church is NOT a bless-me-club === i loved the way she was explaining this ^_*!! CHURCH is NOT a "franchise"! we are not here to BE BLESSED but to be a blessing to ppl (though we will usually be blessed in the process anyway......!!)
breakthrough believers - we have to BE REAL! don't go out there being 'super religious'...relate to ppl! this is how we can save them ^______^....now....breakthrough believers break the barriers of culture and race to advance the kingdom...they can move under intense pressure - and keep on going and giving it all for Jesus...they can move without compromise...breakthrough believers can adapt to new times, and constantly update and move into present truth so that they can be relevant to the "now" generation :).....

one day we will be accountable to Jesus for the LIFE he has given us...do you want to hand back just a *bit* of your life back to Him....or *ALL* of it!??!

We had 4 people share the word... for the nite care group... Everyone was so blessed by all the sharings....

You can actually see.. from their faces... during the sharing of the word... Good job.. for all the good works.. I believe that one day.. you guys.. will be used mightily.. by God...

We are actually missing Edwina.. on that.. day.. she supposed to share also .. on that day...

This is our nite care group... we had a really really fun time... it starts with the ice breaker... we play a tower game (something like mini uno stacko)... it was really fun....with andrew and idris.. lost the game... hikzz.... but we had a fun time..

I think it's better if I don't post the photo when I tried to take one of the tower piece... and all of them fell down...Since hari take the photo with my camera.. so I may decide not to post it in the blog.. ha ha ha...
The cell goes on.. to the worship... we had an awesome time of worship...
with hari.. play the guitar... and Ernest lead the worhip...

we were so blessed that nite.. with their sharing...
Teri shared about obedience to God.. and trusting in the Lord...

I'm so blessed to see.. all of them...

Who loves dimsum??? It was GG and Edwina's idea to eat Dimsum..I think they love dimsum... I love it too... ha ha ha... we ate quite alot as well... It was really fun and time flies, until we nearly late to the practice...

It was a really fun ice skating session.. although..some people from the care group can't make it...
Most of us.. can't really skate that well.. except hari... but it was really fun... I think everyone have fun...
I think we should ask more people to join... next time...

so the ice skating is next week is it...?

Andrew and I and Roy discussed about this abit and realised that if we go ice
skating on saturday nite, then it is tiring and the next morning is service right.. so
i would rather not go to sunday service with some bruises (pardon me, not a very good ice skater)
and (possibly) aching limbs hohoho (i think i made it sound so badd hoho).

no, no, what I am suggesting is that maybe we can do it not saturday night. =D.

neway...to bring our EXCITING uwa news up to date....the uwa crew are back at uni coz we're all soooo HArDWORKING and ENTHUSIASTIC and we all LOVE uni so much!! we can't wait to get back to our books and assignments and tests and we're REALLY looking forward for our next exams hehehe...yay!
we had a cg on tuesday but mabbe SOMEONE ELSE...can write about it?? *hint hint*...since i wasss not well wit a headache/cough/stress/stuffed up mobile...etc
:( so i have no idea about what went on except i think they ordered pizza...mmm....[this is d 2nd time i've missed out on pizza...but its my faultttt] hrrrmm...wat else...
we had...music practice todayyy...which was sooo great coz i was feeling so out of it and down but after the practice it felt like I had been washed over...cleansed...RESTRENGTHENED...RENEWED...and my calf muscles were aching so much from jumping-i dont know why still.... yeah...and i hope all of you guys felt d same....mello, bel and andrew [and chris]...my fellow choir buddies dat day....yen sed we did gr8t job and encouraged her...so we better keep it up! and...i thought ernest, hari, terry and siung apply demselves to gif the best dey can every week so i'm happy for you guys toooo... :) umm...yes....well this blog thingy isnt really all that...exciting and awe-inspiring and overwhelming as i made it...so if you've read up to here then i must be doing ok...:p
so..as usuall...i think uwa cell is awesome...keep up the communication guys..u can do it! i alwiz enjoy spending time with you guys and yous have really helped me grow in so many ways.

well...hrmm...i dun really how to go about this...okay, firstly I would like to say==>regarding our cellgrps-that i thnk they're best wen we have our spontaneous-deep-discussions(!!~)....usually we start off talking and deepening our understandings of sunday's sermons-but this sometimes branches off into other issues (this is what i've noticed neway :D).

Well-last fri, Siung2 raised the question of how every1 was saved-just out of interest-and it was interesting finding out about everyone's backgrounds.....especially the na's!~:D hehehee sooo CoOL~!~*_* Also from tt we started talking about------==>the heavenly man (!! that book was :D <-- this good )........yeahh....and how WOULD WE FEEL if GoD decided to use ONE OF US like Brother Yun (wooahhh....that's reaLLi deep.........) >____< ...... we were talking about........thnking BIGGER....than just our frenz and family==>to the nations etc. (you know that PS song "send me"...yehhhhh......like that :D)

no.. it's not that strict in here, i think ;)

I believe that we are 1 family
most of the times we dont act like we are
we dont feel that we are
but we are :)

sometimes we hurt one another
treat one another rudely
misunderstood one another
dont care about one another

but we are still one family rite.

sure, each one of us will fall and make mistakes sometimes,
but i like what gg said in the yahoogroup some time ago, that
it doesnt matter if we fall, as long as we get back up again, rite?

and i like what mello wrote in the prayer journal (the fancier one :))
that if any of us are to fall back or behind, we will help each other
up so that we always please Him who has called us to Himself and His purpose,
right? :)

ok..dis is a test post coz i'm not really sure what i'm doing...
well...andrew sez its a journal...so i guess i shud just write about some things we've done during the holidays so far...i'm gonna break it into headings for easy reading..

the first thing that comes to mind issss...that dinner we had at the bridge. i think just about every1 ordered bulgolgli (is that how you spell it?) wit a few odd ppl ordering the noodles and ribs. the UWA crew were shoved on one side of the restaurant (probably coz dey knew we were gonna make tons of noise hehe). soo we had this long table for ourselves...girls on one half..and boys on the other...whats with that?? haha..anyway the girls were REALLY loud playing fun fun games..and the guys were...being yuppies doing something wit their mobiles...(being mature for once eheh) ermm..den the food came...it was REALLY yummyyy..and we all ate...and den...chat chat..and den...stood in a crowd in the doorway blocking every1 and den left for SHREK! oh yeah, one more thing i noticed dat nite was the amount of ppl going to the toilet...:)

erm...tuesday nite i think it was?? we had cg at Hari's house. It would be the last time these holidays we wwould see...BELINDA,HARI and ANDREW. awwwwwwwwww :( and MELT was already gone...sooo..now i'm just stuck with...Ernest, Mello, Terry, Siung, Idris and the 3 na's...:(...
hehe neh..jsut kiddinggggg...its all good. :) well..we played bluff as an ice breaker...its smart ernest set a time or it wud've gone for EVER. well..belinda won...and i think andrew lost haha...but all the girls finished first..EXCEPT MELLO! hehe...hrrmm..hari tried his...brain tactics to stop drew from winning..but ended up letting idris win hehe...and coz of that..siung and mello didnt get many turns. oh well. den we had praise and worship along wit siungs great guitar playing...an den..some ppl spoke...bel, siung, ernest,hari,andrew...u know, evry wk we are blessed wit great words and testimonies and encouragements and opinions from each other. and dats why uwa cg is so awesome. n i know dat after that there will be many more great cgs n memories for uwa ppl. this week we have cg again...yay!
